The client wanted to create much more than a covered seating area. The objective was to extend the newly constructed pool house with a spacious outdoor room that could be used for relaxing, dining, entertaining guests and enjoying the pool throughout the seasons.
We designed a bespoke B200 XL pergola finished in Quartz Grey, creating a contemporary architectural feature that complements both the pool house and surrounding landscaping. The generous footprint creates clearly defined zones for dining, lounging and entertaining while maintaining an open connection with the swimming pool.
Large sliding glass walls on three sides provide protection from wind and rain without compromising views across the garden. When the weather is favourable, the glass can be opened to create a seamless transition between the indoor facilities, the covered seating area and the pool.
Integrated louvre lighting and perimeter up and down lighting provide both practical illumination and evening ambience, extending the usability of the space long after sunset. Bespoke flashing details ensure the pergola connects cleanly with the newly built pool house, creating the appearance of one integrated structure.
The completed pergola creates a sophisticated poolside living space that functions as a natural extension of the home. By combining sliding glass, architectural lighting and generous covered space, the client now has a luxurious outdoor room that’s equally suited to family life, entertaining guests or relaxing beside the pool throughout the year.
