The client wanted greater control over the indoor pool environment while creating a space that could be opened up to enjoy sunshine whenever conditions allowed.
Rather than installing a conventional pergola, we designed a bespoke motorised louvred roof panel that integrates directly into the building’s structural steel framework and glazed roof. This innovative solution allows fresh air to circulate naturally, helping improve ventilation while giving the client complete control over sunlight entering the pool area.
Finished in a bespoke Forest Green (RAL 6009), the roof panel complements the property’s architecture while the hidden drainage system maintains clean lines and ensures rainwater is managed discreetly. Integrated louvre lighting allows the space to remain functional after dark, while the rain sensor automatically closes the roof whenever the weather changes.
The completed installation transforms the swimming pool environment by introducing natural ventilation, controllable daylight and a more enjoyable poolside experience. It demonstrates how bespoke louvred roof systems can provide elegant architectural solutions far beyond traditional outdoor pergolas.
