In this project, we transformed a decked area with a sunken hot tub into a stylish and practical retreat. Designed to seamlessly blend with the client’s home and provide comfort and versatility, the bespoke pergola creates an outdoor sanctuary that can be enjoyed year-round.
The client wanted a pergola to cover a decked space with a sunken hot tub, while also allowing for additional seating. The challenge was to create a structure that could serve as a fully enclosed space for privacy and warmth, but also be opened up when desired.
Bespoke Pergola for Functionality and Style:
We installed a single B200XL pergola in anthracite grey to match the home’s aesthetic. The rotating louvred roof provides flexibility, offering shade and ventilation during warmer days and full coverage in poor weather.
Privacy and Weather Protection:
Three automated screens in dark grey were added to the open sides of the pergola, transforming the space into an enclosed outdoor room when required. This feature not only provides privacy but also reduces wind and retains heat, making the area comfortable in any weather.
Heating and Lighting for All-Season Use:
To ensure the space remains warm and inviting, we fitted three colour-matched heaters. Integrated white LED louvre lights were added to the structure, offering ample yet subtle illumination for evening relaxation.
This pergola was designed to be more than just a cover for a hot tub—it acts as an extension of the house, blending indoor and outdoor living seamlessly. Whether enclosed for privacy or opened up to enjoy the fresh air, this versatile pergola creates the perfect environment for relaxation and entertainment.
