Maximising Light and Functionality for an Outdoor Kitchen Patio
This project involved designing a modern pergola to extend the usability of a patio adjacent to an outdoor kitchen. With a fixed glass roof and advanced features, the pergola provides a stylish, weatherproof solution that enhances the client’s outdoor entertaining space.
The client required a pergola that could cover their patio while ensuring maximum light transmission and weatherproofing.
Glass Roof for Light and Protection:
The B700 pergola with fixed glass roof panels was the ideal choice, providing ample natural light while offering full weatherproofing. By fixing the pergola to the existing wall and adding bespoke flashing, we ensured a seamless, watertight fit.
Privacy and Flexibility with Automated Screens:
Three grey fabric screens, controlled remotely, were installed for privacy and wind reduction. These screens can be operated individually or together, offering the client maximum versatility in managing their outdoor environment.
Integrated Lighting for Night-Time Use:
Recessed spotlights, strategically mounted within the pergola frame, provide excellent illumination for evening gatherings. The lighting enhances both functionality and ambiance, ensuring the space can be used at any time of day.
This pergola transforms the existing patio into a functional, stylish, and versatile outdoor living area. With the ability to transition from an open space to a fully enclosed environment, the pergola offers the client maximum comfort and usability throughout the year.
