How We Met the Brief

The client wanted a pergola that would complement a newly created garden environment 
while providing protection from the elements without feeling enclosed. 
 
We designed a 4.5m x 3.4m pergola finished in anthracite grey with a white roof, creating a 
clean and contemporary contrast. The addition of sliding glass panels and a fixed glass wall 
allows the space to remain bright and open while offering protection from wind and rain. 
 
A solid rear wall adds privacy and creates a more intimate seating area, while the integrated 
heater and louvre lighting ensure the pergola remains comfortable and usable into the evening 
and throughout cooler months. 
 
To maximise flexibility, a retractable front screen with integrated spotlights was installed, 
giving the client control over shade, privacy, and lighting levels as required.
