Stylish and Practical Shelter for a Unique Outdoor Space
This project highlights how a bespoke pergola transformed a patio area located at the rear of a garage into a flexible, year-round seating and dining space. Designed to blend seamlessly with traditional orangery aesthetics, the pergola adds both function and style to a previously underutilised area.
The client had a charming patio area behind their garage, which they wanted to make more functional and inviting while complementing the established garden and orangery-style windows.
Wall-Mounted Design for Stability and Style:
To optimise the unique location, we installed a wall-mounted pergola that integrated seamlessly with the garage structure. This provided additional stability and ensured the design complemented the traditional orangery window frames of the property.
Custom Colours for a Cohesive Look:
The pergola frame was finished in a bespoke RAL colour to perfectly match the orangery’s windows, while the white louvres maximised light reflection, ensuring the space felt bright and open despite being adjacent to the garage wall.
Privacy and Comfort with Automated Features:
Automated screens were added to all open sides, offering privacy from surrounding areas while also reducing wind and retaining warmth.
Year-Round Use with Heating and Lighting:
By focusing on the patio behind the garage, this pergola installation turned an overlooked area into a stylish and functional outdoor retreat. The wall-mounted design adds height and structure to the patio while providing practical features like privacy, warmth, and illumination.
