Enhancing a Country Hall Patio with Dual Pergolas

In this project, we installed two matching Winsol pergolas to transform a newly landscaped patio space at a country hall residence. Divided by a stream, the pergolas were designed to house a kitchen area and a seating space, providing a perfect blend of functionality and elegance.

How We Met the Brief

The client’s vision was to complement their formal gardens and contemporary outbuildings with pergolas that balanced modern design with the traditional aesthetic of the property. The pergolas also needed to serve practical purposes: one for a bespoke kitchen area with a pizza oven and the other for a comfortable seating space.

Matching Winsol pergolas were chosen for their sleek and timeless design. Both pergolas were finished in anthracite grey for consistency, ensuring they seamlessly blended with the newly designed patio and surrounding features.

The larger pergola housed a hand-built timber kitchen, which was customised to fit perfectly and provide an elegant yet practical space for outdoor entertaining. The smaller pergola covered a dedicated seating area, offering a cosy and inviting retreat.

Usable at All Times of Day and Year

To maximise usability, each pergola was equipped with white up-and-down perimeter lights and 12 integrated frame spotlights, providing excellent illumination for evening gatherings. Slimline frame-mounted heaters were added to keep both spaces warm, ensuring they remain comfortable throughout the year.

Automated light grey screens on all open sides reduced noise and wind, creating a protected environment without obstructing the view.

Additional Features for Modern Living

Integrated Bluetooth speakers and power sockets built into the pergola frames added convenience and entertainment options, completing the setup and making these pergolas ideal for any occasion.
